Birds Of A Feather In Cold Weather

Birds are so wonderful as symbols for winter. Owls with their snowsuits on and ski goggles in place. Although they are based on real birds I love to visually piece their feathers into owl quilts. Can't have them too real.

I can't quite see parrots or mockingbirds as Christmas card fare but someone very clever probably can and will. And then of course the little southern birds will looks as if they always belonged in December. Makes one think about those three French hens. Odd gift or maybe those were spectacularly feathered.

And here for those who love the fantasy side of birds are a few of my so-called goldersbirds. Nothing real at all except for the MaryJane shoes.
